Jogulamba as a major pilgrimage centre is CM’s dream: Kavitha
HYDERABAD: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday performed special pujas at Alampur Jogulamba temple on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. The BRS leader offered prayers at Brahmeswara Swamy temple and Jogulamba temple.
Speaking to the media after coming out of the temple premises, Kavitha said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is keen to extend the successful Telangana model of development and welfare schemes to the entire country. He has been ensuring rapid progress across sectors with his administration, he said.
She stated that the government will improve transport connectivity to Jogulamba temple to attract more devotees. She said that the Chief Minister is keen to develop the Jogulamba temple as a major pilgrimage centre in the state.
She said Alampur faced a water crisis in Andhra Pradesh despite overflowing water in Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. The Chief Minister resolved the drinking water crisis with Mission Bhagiratha, Kavitha added.
