VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as president of the YSR Congress has announced an extension of the Mega People’s Survey, the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyatthu interaction programme, up to April 29. He noted that there was enormous response to the survey from the masses.

At the end of day 12, over 84 lakh houses recorded their responses in JMB. The YSRC received over 63 lakh missed calls, "proving that the people trusted" CM Jagan, party leaders said.

A high- level meeting of the YSRC was held on Wednesday evening at which the CM discussed matters with the top leaders and they unanimously decided to extend the last date of JMB to April 29. The aim is to meet with one crore households by then.

The mass interaction campaign started on April 7 and was to end on April 20 after an interaction with 1.6 crore families in 26 districts.

The YSRC leaders said the ‘Jagananne Maa Bhavishyatthu’ is a campaign where close to seven lakh grassroots workers are reaching out to all 1.65 crore households in the state over a period of two weeks. The seven lakh grassroots workers consist of a wide network of newly appointed Gruha Saradhis and ward Sachivalayam conveners tasked with conducting the door-to-door mega survey.

Ministers Jogi Ramesh and Adimulapu Suresh said the public are showing a lot of interest in the survey but it was taking more time for interaction. “The people including beneficiaries of welfare schemes wholeheartedly conversed with the party cadres, expressing their views and suggestions regarding Jagan’s governance.”

In several instances, the issues of various people regarding the pending welfare schemes were also resolved with the intervention of concerned legislators and officials. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled all poll promises and delivered welfare at doorsteps without corruption, they noted.

MLC and YSRC general-secretary Lella Appi Reddy said that by the end of day 12 on April 19, over 84 lakh households recorded their responses in the JMB. This apart, the party received 63 lakh missed calls.

“The result of the survey will be displayed at the end of the campaign in every constituency and cumulatively at the state level on April 29, the concluding day of the mega survey,” he said.

AP state Planning Board vice chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu said that with the unprecedented response from the people, the YSRC cadre has redoubled their enthusiasm.
