Lecturers' transfers concern TPCC president
He asked the CM to follow UGC conditions on student and lecturer ratio while transferring the lecturers.
Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has written an open letter to Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on irregularities in the transfers of lecturer’s in colleges.
He asked the CM to follow UGC conditions on student and lecturer ratio while transferring the lecturers.
He said that according to the UGC the ratio of the lecture and the students should be 1:15 against one lecture for 60 science students and 70 arts students.
Mr Reddy said that for both the Telugu and English medium students only one lecture system is meaningless.
Taking a dig at a recent reference made by the CM at the World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad about the importance of Telugu language he asked Mr Rao if it is reasonable to remove Telugu medium in degree courses.
He said that it is not proper to teach Telugu and English medium students in one class to reduce the posts.
