TS Congress to mark Rahul Gandhi birthday today

HYDERABAD: TPCC senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Sunday said that the party would mark the birthday of Congress former president Rahul Gandhi by organising a ‘palabhishekam' to his portrait on Monday, at Gandhi Bhavan.

Hanumantha Rao said that Rahul Gandhi during his padayatra had promised to conduct the OBCs caste census after the Congress returned to power at the Centre. Rahul Gandhi noticed the issues being faced by BC people, he said.

The former MP alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to attract BC communities by offering ₹1 lakh. He alleged that incentive cheques provided to sportspersons who had performed well in the national level games had bounced.
