Hyderabad: Anti-ragging meet held, colleges pledge support

Hyderabad: An anit-ragging meet was conducted at the Commissioner’s office in Hyderabad, wherein all the stakeholders including UGC and the police participated in the event and shared the best practices on how to take further steps to curb ragging.
Of those who attended the event included N. Yadaiah, Registrar, JNTU, R. Manoj Kumar, Deputy Secretary, JNTU, Prof. B. Rajendra Naik, dean students affairs, OU, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, Anjani Kumar and Addl. CP, Crimes & SIT, Shikha Goel.
During the meet, incident-free academic session was stressed. “There would be zero tolerance towards ragging,” said Kumar. All stakeholders promised to take measures to prevent untoward incidents.
