Solar panel to summon Oommen Chandy again
Ooomen Chandy's counsel opposed the move to re-examine the former CM but the Commission rejected it.
Kochi: The Solar Judicial Commission has decided to summon former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy once again as part of its fact finding proceedings. Justice G Sivarajan issued the order after considering the need to take statements from the former CM. The Commission concluded the first phase of evidence collection and formed a fresh list of persons to be examined. The Commission, however, is yet to fix any date. Ooomen Chandy’s counsel opposed the move to re-examine the former CM but the Commission rejected it.
Deccan Chronicle in these columns had reported that the fomer CM would be re-examined as part of evidence collection. When the Commission had heard Oomen Chandy in Thiruvananthapuram, he had said that he had met Saritha on three occasions but when he found out that she was involved in cheating cases, the government took action against her. However, Saritha produced call records making the clinching revelation that she had made more than 2500 calls to the former CM and his aide.
