AP to review on industrial accidents with all stakeholder departments on Aug. 23

A state and district-level committees have also been constituted to verify all the industrial units

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government will review the occurrence of industrial accidents with all stakeholder departments in hybrid mode on
August 23.

The state government said in a letter that a third party expert committee has been constituted to inquire into the incidents of gas leakage in the state, especially at Seeds Intimate Apparel India Private Limited existing in Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited SEZ at Atchyutapuram in Anakapalli district.

A state and district-level committees have also been constituted to verify all the industrial units with reference to compliance of all safety and environmental requirements.

In this context, minister for energy Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, minister for industries Gudivada Amarnath and minister for labour Gummunuru Jayaram have called for a meeting at the AP Secretariat at 10.30 am.

The director of factories has been asked to present a Power Point Presentation (PPT) on safety issues and the APPCB member secretary has been asked to present PPT on environment issue so that comprehensive instructions to be given to the district collectors and to the officers concerned to scrupulously follow them to avoid repeat of industrial accidents in any part in the state.
