Pujas, agitations for Naidu's release absurd: Amarnath
Visakhapatnam: Industries minister Gudivada Amarnath said that it was ridiculous to conduct special pujas and agitations in different states and countries for TD national president Chandrababu Naidu’s release from jail.
He said Naidu did not sacrifice anything for the country to pray for his release. The TD chief is a thief who stole Rs 371 crore from the state treasury. The people of Andhra Pradesh are not agitating for him as they have understood his true nature, he said.
Amarnath further said that Naidu was involved in corruption for years by circumventing the law. But now, he can’t escape, even if Lokesh goes to Delhi or America to protest, he said, adding that getting bail for Naidu depends on the court’s decision.
The minister on Tuesday visited the Ganesh pandal at Sitammadhara being organised by the north constituency YSRC incharge and New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. chairman K.K. Raju and offered special prayers.
