Tirumala: Thousands of pilgrims were captivated by the grand procession of Lord Malayappa Swamy on the 'Kalpavriksha Vahanam' on the fourth day of the event during the ongoing Navaratri Brahmotsavams on Wednesday.

Accompanied by his two divine consorts, Lord Malayappa Swamy was carried through the Mada Streets on the golden 'Kalpavriksha.' This Vahanam holds a special place in Hindu mythology because it is believed that devotees' wishes can be granted by praying to Lord Malayappa Swamy while he is seated on this celestial vehicle.

The cultural festivities continued into the evening with Lord Malayappa Swamy's procession on a vehicle known as the "Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam," underscoring his role as the Lord of Lords. This procession conveys the message that all the Dikpalakas, the guardians of the eight cardinal directions governing the universe, are under the direct control and vigilance of Lord Venkateswara.

It is believed that humanity prospers with timely rains, and Lord Venkateswara's protection embodies the qualities of a true leader. The Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam procession celebrated the cosmic influence and control of Lord Venkateswara, reaffirming the belief that he safeguards the universe and its inhabitants.
