Andhra Pradesh lauded for digitisation of information on public health

Vijayawada: National health authority executive director (IT) V. Kiran Gopal lauded the Andhra Pradesh government for digitisation of information pertaining to public health.
Taking part in a Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission orientation programme held in Dr YSR university of health sciences here on Friday, Gopal said that Andhra Pradesh stood first in issuing Ayushman Bharat Health Account cards in the country as the state government took initiative to promote the registration for it in a big way and felt the need for participation of private hospitals also for registration for ABHA cards.
AP State Aids Control Society project director G.S. Naveen Kumar said that as AP stood first in the country in issuing ABHA cards, it made them to be more responsible to promote it further. He said the state government had started family physician programme in order to provide better healthcare to the people in the state.
Dr YSR university of health sciences vice-chancellor Dr P. Syama Prasad said the digital card would help the poor more to avail healthcare.
