Vehicle engulfed in flames near Shikhareswaram

Kurnool: An electrical short circuit caused a car to catch fire near Shikhareswaram in Srisailam on Friday night. The incident occurred around 9.30 pm when Murali Mohan, a resident of Porumamilla, Kadapa district, was driving to Srisailam.

Upon noticing smoke emanating from the vehicle, Mohan and his companions immediately pulled over and exited the car. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the vehicle in a matter of minutes.

Alert to the situation, local fire officials were immediately notified. Upon receiving the call, in-charge fire officer Ayub Khan and his team promptly responded to the scene. They swiftly deployed firefighting equipment and managed to extinguish the blaze within an hour.
