APSRTC starts dispensary at Hyderabad
There are nearly 2000 retired RTC employees settled in Hyderabad and they had been seeking establishment of a dispensary
VIJAYAWADA: APSRTC vice chairman and managing director Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Saturday inaugurated a corporation-run dispensary in Hyderabad for convenience of retired RTC employees and their family members residing in the city.
There are nearly 2000 retired RTC employees settled in Hyderabad. They had been seeking establishment of a dispensary to get medical services there.
Responding, APSRTC inaugurated the dispensary at Tarnaka Road No. 1.
APSRTC has appointed the required doctors and other staff for the dispensary, which will also be useful for corporation staff going to Hyderabad.
About 2,000 RTC staff, mostly drivers and conductors, reach Hyderabad from various parts of Andhra Pradesh on duty every day. The newly inaugurated dispensary will also be useful for APSRTC staff working in Bus Bhavan, Kukatpally and BHEL areas.
APSRTC executive director A Koteswara Rao and other officials attended the inauguration programme.
