HYDERABAD: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday distributed appointment letters to candidates selected for jobs in Central government agencies. Taking part in the nationwide Rozgar Mela here, Kishan Reddy told the candidates that not everyone got an opportunity to work in a government of India agency or department.
“You achieved this success through hard work and dedication. Make the best use of this opportunity to build the country and yourselves. Remember the role your parents played in helping you get where you are today. Never forget them, or their contribution to your success,” he told a gathering of young women and men at the Swamy Vivekananda Institute of Technology in Secunderabad.
The distribution of 71,000 appointment letters across the country on Friday was launched virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi.
Kishan Reddy, recalling Modi’s Independence Day speech, said “in 2047, India will turn a 100 years. We might be there then, or not. But the country’s youth of today will be there. How the country progresses and where it finds itself rests in your hands. Everyone of you should become a part of this country’s progress.”
