Lapses in cleaning drive backlashed: KPCC president M M Hassan
He alleged that the government had failed in the cleaning drive before the monsoon.
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president M. M. Hassan has asked the government to convene a special cabinet meeting to tackle the rising fever cases in the state. He alleged that the government had failed in the cleaning drive before the monsoon. None of the government hospitals have adequate doctors, medicines or beds to treat the dengue cases, he told reporters here. He asked the government to start control rooms in all the districts, bed facilities and medical camps.
“The poor dengue patients should be treated in private hospitals and financial aid should be given to them. The government should also provide aid to those who lost their dear ones due to fever,” he said. He asked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to explain his stand on the lathicharge on the agitators at Puthuvype. DCP Yathish Chandra who led the lathicharge should be suspended, he said.
