Telangana: 224 Hajis picked in a draw to stay in Nizam's Rubat
TS deputy CM said that the draw was conducted for one Rubat as they had received permission from the Saudi authorities for just one Rubat.
Hyderabad: As many as 224 Haj pilgrims were selected on Tuesday in a draw of lots for free accommodation at Rubats (the Guest Houses of the Nizam) in Makkah and Madina in Saudi Arabia for Haj 2016.
While participating in the draw of lots at the Haj House in Nampally, TS deputy CM Mohammed Mahamood Ali, said that the draw was conducted for one Rubat as they had received permission from the Saudi authorities for just one Rubat, which can accommodate 225 pilgrims.
Another draw will be conducted for another 300 pilgrims as soon as they receive permissions from Saudi officials.
The deputy minister said that the sum of Rs 47,000 that was collected for the accommodation and food from each of the 224 pilgrims at the start will be returned to them because they will now receive free food and accommodation in the Rubat.
