Thrissur: Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan on Saturday expressed reservations on the media for not reporting the debates of crucial bills held in the state Assembly.
Speaking at a function held in Thrissur Press Club, he said that the proceedings in the house over law making were not reported in detail in the media for the masses to get an idea about it.

“Most often, the affairs in the Assembly are shown for political comic shows and that gives an impression that politics is not a serious matter. Such an approach by the media will make the new generation look down on politicians,” said the Speaker.

He was speaking at the meeting held in the press club as a part of the inauguration of the renovated building. Farm Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar, NORKA-ROOTS vice-chairman Padma Shri C.K. Menon, mayor Ajitha Jayaragan, ESAF Bank MD K. Paul Thomas, patron of Jewellery Manufactures Association C.S. Ajayaku-mar among other were present.
