Adilabad: Talks held between Adivasi representatives on Sunday rejected a proposal made by district officials to open the schools they have closed in the tribal areas. The officials asked the Adivasis not to boycott the Lambada teachers.

Adivasis representatives made it clear that their main demand was the removal of Lambadas from the STs’ list and stopping of issuing agency certificates to them. They wanted Lambadas’ appointments in government posts cancelled.
