N Prasanth bids adieu as new collector takes over
The farewell was organised by Calicut Press Club.
KOZHIKODE: Outgoing Kozhikode collector N. Prasanth was given a farewell by the media in the city, as he leaves after a tenure of two years. New district collector U.V. Jose assumed office on Monday. Mr Prasanth expressed his satisfaction in associating with socially-relevant issues including the Government Mental Health hospital and the projects of Compassionate Kozhikode.
On doubts whether future collectors would associate with projects including the ones under Compassionate Kozhikode, he replied that “More than Compassionate Kozhikode, it is ‘compassion’ that should continue and so should the public’s participation and support for such projects.”
The farewell was organised by Calicut Press Club. President Kamal Varadoor, vice president K.C. Riyas, secretary N Rajesh and district information officer K.T. Sekhar attended the event. The outgoing collector also attended farewells by Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Revenue officials and hotel and restaurants associations.
