Hyderabad:  The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has not been able to implement the revised speed limit decision although it has introduced revised toll rates on Outer Ring Road (ORR) a few days ago.

Officials are waiting for the minutes of UMTA (Urban Metropolitan Transport Authority) meeting held a week ago in which the state chief secretary had instructed HMDA to lower the speed limit from 120kmph (km per hour) to 100kmph so that the spate of accidents on ORR could be checked. “We are waiting for written instructions before we start implementing the decision. Signages and display boards will be changed to specify the new speed limit,” an official said.
