Kerala: Fee revision on cards in management seats
New fee structure will be known only after deal between the college managements and Govt.
Thiruvananthapuram: The chances are that there would be changes in the fee structure for government and management seats in both self-financing engineering and medical colleges this year. However, the fee structure for government medical and engineering colleges is likely to remain the same as the last year.
The new fee structure will be known only after the agreement between the self-financing professional college managements and the government. Last year, the fee for government and aided engineering colleges was Rs 8,225.
The fee for 50 per cent government seats in government-controlled self-financing engineering colleges was Rs 35,000 while for management quota seats the fee was Rs 65,000. The fee structure for private self-financing college was as follows: Government quota seats: Rs 50,000 for lower income group, others: Tuition fee Rs 50,000 and a special fee of Rs 25,000; 35 per cent management seats: Tuition fee '99,000, special fee Rs 25,000 and fixed deposit Rs 1,50,000 and 15 per cent NRI seats: Rs 1,50,000, special fee Rs 25,000 and fixed deposit Rs 1,50,000.

The fee structure for private self-financing architecture college was as follows: Government quota seats: Rs 55,000 for lower income group, others: Tuition fee Rs 55,000 and special fee Rs 25,000, 35 per cent management seats: Tuition fee Rs 1,37,500, special fee Rs 40,000 and fixed deposit Rs 1,75,000 and 15 per cent NRI seats: Rs 2,20,000, special fee Rs 40,000 and fixed deposit Rs 1,75,000.
