Justice James committee notice: 2 medical colleges told to add rejected applicants

The Believers Church was told to permit the candidates to rectify the mistakes before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Admission Supervisory Committee headed by Justice J.M. James on Tuesday issued notices to two medical colleges to include rejected applicants in the total online applications of eligible lists. Their applications were rejected for want of various documents. The committee also asked the Believers Church Medical College, Thiruvalla, and Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Science, Ernakulam, to publish the list after rearranging the information of all the eligible applicants.

The Believers Church was told to permit the candidates to rectify the mistakes before 5 p.m. on Thursday. The Sree Narayana Institute Of Medical Science was instructed to publish the eligible list of applicants between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday. Those applicants, who come under inter se merit, and admitted by the medical college, should be allowed to remit the fees through demand draft. They should submit the bank guarantee on or before 5 p.m. on September 27.

The Mount Zion Medical College, Adoor, was asked to publish all the lists related to MBBS admissions. The commission could not find any major irregularities in complaints on the admissions to Puspagiri Medical College, Thiruvalla. The hearing on the complaints regarding Azeezia Medial College, Kollam, Al-Azhar Medical College, Thodpuzha, Travancore Medical College, Kollam and PK Das Medical College, Ottappalam has been postponed to September 22 as the ASC could not complete the hearing on Tuesday.
