Viveka Murder Case: CBI Court grants escort bail to Bhasker Reddy

 Hyderabad: The CBI Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday  granted time-bound escort bail to Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, father of Kadapa MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy, who has been in Chanchalguda Prison after he was arrested by the CBI in April on allegations of his involvement in the murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.

Explaining his health conditions and  on the grounds of old age, Bhaskar Reddy has requested the CBI Court  to grant the interim bail. Earlier, the Telangana High Court had rejected his regular bail petition.

The CBI Court ,while  granting interim bail to Bhaskar Reddy from September 22 to October 3 , has imposed several conditions.

The superintendent of Chanchalguda Prison  was directed to release Bhaskar Reddy on September 22 at 10 am and he  will surrender before the superintendent on October 3 by 10.30 am after attending to his medical treatment in Hyderabad. Bhaskar Reddy will avail the medical treatment available in the Hyderabad jurisdiction only and he is not permitted to leave Hyderabad during the escort bail. Bhaskar Reddy shall pay costs towards escort of three constables / SIs provided by the superintendent of Chanchalguda Prison. He will not indulge in any criminal activity during the said period and he has to furnish the mobile phone number, if any, used by him during the escort bail to the CBI as well as to the CBI Court.
