Orders reserved on flyover plan

Hyderabad: Justice Lalitha Kanneganti of the Telangana High Court on Friday reserved orders on a matter pertaining to the construction of a flyover near Movie Towers near Kokapet.

The judge was dealing with a writ plea filed by K. Rahul, a resident of Movie Towers. The petitioner sought a direction from the court to stop construction of the flyover that would reduce the width of the access road to Movie Towers.

Senior counsel D. Sitaram Murthy appearing on behalf of the petitioner contended that the public at large must be considered since it outweighed individual interests.

He pointed out that the access road near Movie Towers would also help in accessing the ORR and contended that the government should keep in mind the properties surrounding the area.
