Plea accusing cops dismissed

Hyderabad: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of Telangana High Court on Friday dismissed a writ plea alleging that the police had colluded with the accused in a rape case.

The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by the alleged victim. The petitioner contended that inspector, Bharosa Centre at HACA, Hyderabad, and station house officer, Banjara Hills, had colluded with the accused and were not investigating the crime committed against the petitioner in spite of her complaint. Earlier, the court had directed the ACP, Banjara Hills, to conduct an enquiry as to whether or not the investigation was being conducted properly.

The government pleader appearing for the home department submitted that the accused was arrested soon after the complaint and an investigation was going on. The court after examining the report and evidence submitted by the ACP was satisfied that the police did not collude with the accused.
