Probe Biju Ramesh's allegations: Vaikom Viswan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF Convenor Vaikom Viswan has sought a detailed vigilance probe into the allegations raised by hotel chain owner Biju Ramesh regarding money being collected to change the government's liquor policy. The LDF Convenor submitted a detailed complaint to the director Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (VACB) on Monday.

He pointed out that Biju Ramesh statement that appeared in a section of media was nothing but wild allegations. He had stated at a recent press conference that money was being collected on the pretext of securing bar licenses for three and four star hotels as per the new liquor policy. There were allegations that attempts were being made to influence certain people.
