Hyderabad: Urban body decides to hike park entry fees
The corporation will hike the rates from RS 5 to Rs 10 to enhance its annual revenues from from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to hike the ticket rates at all city parks. The corporation will hike the rates from RS 5 to Rs 10 to enhance its annual revenues from from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore.
The corporation has been collecting the entry fee at seven parks, including Imliban Park, Indira Park, K. Laxminarayana Yadav Park, Jalagam Vengal Rao Park, Chacha Nehru Park, Krishnakanth Park and A.S. Rao Nagar Park.
A GHMC official said that the standing committee has given its nod and the new rates will come into effect from next month. However, entry will be free for regular walkers and joggers from 5.30 am to 9.00 am. Evening walkers and joggers would have no exemption.
