YSR Congress Celebrates CM Jagan's 51st Birthday with Social Service Events
TIRUPATI: YSR Congress leaders and cadres celebrated the 51st birthday of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday with blood donation camps, distribution of aid to the poor and other social service initiatives across Chittoor, Tirupati and Nellore districts.
In Srikalahasti constituency, MLA Biyyapu Madhusudan Reddy led the celebrations by cutting a cake and raising slogans wishing the chief minister. He distributed 120 pushcarts to the underprivileged in the constituency, conch and bell gifts for Jangam caste professionals, implements for various castes and umbrellas for small businesses in the market.
The celebration took place at ZP Boys High School, where MLC, C Subramanyam, Srikalahasti temple chairman Taraka Srinivasulu and the MLA's daughter Pavitra Reddy extended their best wishes to the CM. As a part of the celebrations, Class 8 students received tabs.
Madhusudhan Reddy said these birthday celebrations had been a tradition in Srikalahasti for 17 years, featuring numerous social service programmes.
In Tirupati, TTD chairman and MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and deputy mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy, along with party leaders, cut the birthday cake. Blood donation camps, which witnessed over 3000 voluntary donors, were another highlight of the day, alongside sapling plantation drives and the distribution of free food across the constituency.
Chittoor constituency witnessed grand celebrations organised under the guidance of APSRTC vice chairman Vijayananda Reddy.
The festivities began with a cake-cutting ceremony at the Ayyappa Garden on Tirupati Road. Some 44,000 women in Chittoor city and rural areas received gifts. Additionally, 9,000 women in Gudipala were presented with 'Jagananna' gifts, including sarees and jackets and pant-shirt sets for their husbands.
In Nellore, YSRC leaders observed the CM’s birthday with various programmes, including distribution of food and holding of blood donation camps. Former minister and YSRC MLA Anil Kumar Yadav distributed house pattas to beneficiaries in Bhagat Singh colony's 53rd and 54th divisions in Nellore city. Mayor Sravanthi celebrated the birthday of their party leader and distributed food to the needy.
The celebrations also saw MLA Mekapati Vikram Reddy inaugurating a blood donation camp in the Atmakur town. Aarogyasri cards were also distributed to beneficiaries. Vikram Reddy emphasized chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's focus on education, health and welfare sectors.
