Inspection of trains at Vizag railway station

Visakhapatnam: Waltair Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy did surprise inspection of trains at Visakhapatnam station and rakes at New Coach Care Centre at Marripalem, Visakhapatnam on Saturday.
With recent incidents of complaints on cleanliness and coach maintenance issues, he focused to resolve such issues and improve passenger convenience.
DRM inspected trains Visakhapatnam- Bhubaneswar Intercity express, Hazarat Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Samata express at Visakhapatnam station and rakes of AP Express and Visakhapatnam- Nanded express at coach maintenance depot where the coaches of various trains are being cleaned and maintained on daily basis.
During his inspection, DRM interacted with the passengers, on-board cleaning staff and took feedback on facilities. DRM counseled the on-board housekeeping staff for maintaining cleanliness and asked to keep the entire coach and toilets clean even at last stop. He also directed the senior coaching depot officers to step up the standards of maintenance and change the defective coaches.
