THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Enquiry Commissioner and Special Court (Vigilance) here has rejected a petition regarding the alleged irregularities into the land assigned to the Law Academy Law College here. The court observed that the alleged offences would not come under the purview of Prevention of Corruption Act. Moreover, the accused did not produce sufficient evidence for the alleged irregularities.
The petition was filed by one Paichira Navaz. He alleged in the petition that there was irregularity in assigning 12 acres of land to the academy in 1984 and sought a directive to the government to reclaim the land and recover loss caused to the government from those responsible for the irregularity.
