Pandal works of Parmekkavu Devaswom for Thrissur Pooram starts

Thrissur: The official ceremony of erecting the posts for the pandal of Parmekkavu Devaswom for Thrissur Pooram was held on Friday morning. The head priest of the temple Karekkatu Raman Namboothiri conducted the ‘bhoomi pooja’ at the ceremony. A team of expert workers led by M. Krishnakumar of Arattupuzha is in-charge of making the pandal for pooram.

The devaswom officials said the pandal raised on Swaraj Round would not block the traffic by any means as in the previous year. Devaswom president K. Sathish Menon, vice-president V.M. Sasi, secretary G. Rajesh, assistant secretary K. Mahesh along with several devotees and pooram buffs were present at the event.
