However, Sashi did not approve the wedding and was furious at the couple for marrying against his wishes.
BOUDH (ODISHA): A man from Dunguriguda village under Kantamala police limits in Odisha’s Boudh district allegedly severed the leg of his son-in-law for marrying his daughter against his wishes. The accused Sashi Mahalika attacked his son-in-law Sourabh Dandia from Barapada village with an axe while the latter was returning from the local Anganwadi centre after dropping his wife.
The matter came to fore on Wednesday after a complaint was lodged by the father of the victim, Chitrasen at the Kantamala police station in this regard. Reportedly, Sourabh was having love affair with Sashi’s daughter since past two years and he tied knot with her recently after eloping from the house. However, Sashi did not approve the wedding and was furious at the couple for marrying against his wishes.
