AP Maritime Board Unveils Strategic Initiatives to Boost State Exports

 Visakhapatnam: Ravindranath Reddy, deputy chief executive officer of the AP Maritime Board, announced measures to promote exports from the state at an International Conference on Shipping and Logistics hosted by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) on Friday.

Reddy stressed the importance of essential infrastructure and development in promoting exports and highlighted the board's active support for industries and traders. He announced several measures to promote exports, including:
-Developing world-class ports and maritime infrastructure
-Streamlining export procedures and reducing costs
-Providing financial incentives to exporters
-Promoting exports to new markets

Mercy Epao, joint secretary for SMEs, also spoke at the conference and highlighted the significant role of the MSME industry in the country's economy. She mentioned several activities that the government is taking to support the growth of the MSME sector, including:
-Delegates from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Colombo also shared insights on coastal shipping, bulk cargo, the South Asian container market, and global perspectives.

The conference served as a platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the shipping and logistics sector in Andhra Pradesh. It also highlighted the transformative potential of infrastructure development, technology adoption, and government initiatives in driving growth in the sector.
