Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police issued a set of instructions to Ganesha idol pandal organisers to be followed during the immersion procession. This includes not allowing those in inebriated condition on the vehicles carrying the idols, no provocative slogans and no stopping of the processions near religious places. The instructions were shared by the city police on their X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Police told the organisers that vehicles carrying the idols should start early to avoid congestion and stick to the schedule. Only a specified number of idols should be carried in each vehicle.

The police prohibited musical systems with DJs being placed on vehicles carrying the idols. Police also advised that the organisers should ensure that those on vehicles do not throw colours, flowers and water packets on passersby and those walking in the procession.

Participants in the procession are also prohibited from carrying any form of weapons, such as sticks, swords, knives, firearms, inflammable materials, or any other dangerous items.
