TSRTC to release bus spotter app
Tickets will be issued online for these buses on the RTC's website www.tsrtcon1ine.in.
Hyderabad: Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy on Friday said the RTC would release a smartphone app that will allow commuters to know the location of the bus. The app would be released in November.
He inspected the AC mini-buses at Bus Bhavan and said they would be introduced on the Hyderabad-Warangal and Hyderabad-Nizamabad routes on a pilot basis from next month.
He said 100 21-seater buses, named Vajra, were purchased for Rs 20 crore. Tickets will be issued online for these buses on the RTC’s website www.tsrtcon1ine.in.
Reservation can be done up to 30 minutes before departure. A flat fare of Rs 300 to Warangal and Rs 350 per person to Nizamabad will becharged. These buses will not go to bus stands but pick up passengers from colonies and drop them in colonies in the destination city. It is proposed to run 60 trips daily on the Warangal route and 36 trips on the Nizamabad route.
