Spiritual Fervor Engulfs Tirumala as Sun and Moon Chariots Grace Brahmotsavams

Tirupati: In a mesmerising spectacle of devotion, the procession of Lord Malayappa Swamy on the resplendent Surya Prabha and Chandra Prabha Vahanams on the seventh day of the ongoing Navahnika Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala captivated the hearts of countless devotees.

The Surya Prabha Vahanam, radiating brilliance and majesty, signifies the Sun God's supremacy over the universe and embodies the essence of the three Vedas - Rig, Yajur, and Sama. This divine form, revered as Trayimaya, is the embodiment of Lord Narayana, also known as Surya Narayana.

As Lord Malayappa Swamy adorned in a radiant red ixora flower garland emerged atop the Surya Prabha Vahanam, the atmosphere was charged with spiritual ecstasy. Devotees thronged the streets, their eyes fixated on the divine vision, seeking blessings for good health, longevity, and freedom from ailments.

The procession of the Chandra Prabha Vahanam, bathed in the ethereal glow of the moon, was equally enchanting. Legend has it that Chandra, the moon, represents the promotion of medicinal values for all living beings. Devotees believe that witnessing the Chandra Prabha Vahanam bestows upon them the blessings of healing and rejuvenation.

The seventh day of the Brahmotsavams was marked by a series of special rituals, including Snapana Thirumanjanam in the afternoon and Unjal seva for the processional deities in the evening. As the day drew to a close, Lord Malayappa Swamy embarked on a celestial journey atop the Chandraprabha Vahanam, leaving a trail of serenity and devotion in his wake.
