Minister distributes KCR nutrition kits to pregnant women
Adilabad: Forests minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy on Wednesday distributed KCR nutrition kits to pregnant women in Adilabad district.
Speaking on the occasion, he pointed out that tribal population is high in Adilabad and Komaram Bheem Asifabad districts, where more women suffer from anaemia.
Indrakaran Reddy advised medical staff to ensure the KCR nutrition kits, containing nutrients including iron, reach every pregnant woman in the interior areas. This will improve their health and enable women to have safe deliveries and healthy babies.
The minister underlined that the state government is spending ₹50 crore on KCR nutrition kits.
Adilabad zilla parishad chairman Rathod Janardhan, Boath MLA Rathod Bapurao, collector Sikta Patnaik and Adilabad municipal chairman Jogu Premender were among those present at the event.
In Chennur, MLA Balka Suman distributed the KCR nutrition kits to pregnant women at a function organised in Asifabad. Asifabad ZP chairman Kova Laxmi, MLAs Atram Sakku and Koneru Konappa and MLC Dande Vittal were present.
