Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM is holding meetings to explain to the cadres the government stand on controversial issues like   Munnar evictions and  the police action against Jishnu Prannoy’s mother  Mahija. One such meeting attended by all local secretaries   from the district was held here on Saturday. The secretaries will explain the party stand to the lower committees.   The  leaders said  that the focus will be on big encroachments during the eviction  drive. The meetings are being held following the  demands made by the district committees to clarify the  party's stand on the current issues.

The leadership  has asked the cadre to be wary of the false propaganda against the government and attempts  to divert the attention of people from its development agenda. The cadres were informed of the various programmes planned to celebrate the LDF government’s first anniversary in office from May 25 which also coincides with the 60th anniversary celebrations of the first Communist government led by EMS Namboothiripad in the state. Such meetings  will be organised in all other  districts  also in the coming days.
