Malayali IIT student found dead inside hostel room

Alappuzha: A Malayali student of IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, hailing from Haripad  was found hanging in his hostel room on Friday night.  He was identified as Nithin, 22, Chavadil house, Haripad,  who was studying for  final semester aerospace engineering. A suicide note found from his room  said: “Let me sleep.”

It is learnt that he was under mental pressure  from the institution. According to the relatives, Nithin did not appear for the   last semester examinations  held on Friday. When  his friends reached his hostel, they found the door  latched from inside.  The hostel authorities who broke open  the door found him hanging from the ceiling of the hostel at  B-block, Nehru Hall.
