Hyderabad: 35 tola gold, cash stolen from house

Hyderabad: In a major house theft at Narsingi, unidentified suspects decamped with 35 tolas of gold and silver articles and about Rs 28,000 cash.

Police said the suspects gained entry into the house through a door which was kept slightly open for ventilation.

According to the police, the thefeet occurred in the house of G. Kalavathi along with her newly-wed son Vijay and his wife Anusha at Madhavinagar in Hydershakote village under Narsingi police station limits. On Saturday night before went to sleep, they kept the jewellery in a bag and placed it on the dining table in the kitchen.

In the morning, Kalavthi found the door wide open and the bag containing the valuables missing. She then approached the police. Bases on a complaint from Anusha, the police registered a theft case and started a probe.
