HYDERABAD: Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will contest all the 119 seats in Telangana state in upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for December this year. Shiv Sena Telangana president Sinkaru Shivaji said that thearty leadership has decided to focus on Telangana and strengthen the party in the state in the run up to the Assembly polls.

Shiv Sena's decision assumed significance against the backdrop of BRS chief and Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao focussing on expanding his party in Maharashtra and holding back-to-back meetings there.

Speaking to media here on Monday, Shivaji said the party will allocate Assembly tickets to families of Telangana martyrs and will also reserve 33 per cent of tickets for women.

Tickets will also be allocated to youth and unemployed besides tickets to SCs and STs in proportionate to their ratio of population. He said BCs will get 50 per cent of the tickets. The party will also field journalists in a few seats, he added.

Shivaji said the Shiv Sena will soon constitute party committees from mandal-level to district-level in all the districts to strengthen the party.
