Spandana programme: Eluru SP receives more complaints from women
KAKINADA: Eluru district superintendent of police D. Mary Prashanthi conducted the Spandana programme at Eluru on Monday where most of the complainants were women.
A woman from Madepali village of Eluru mandal alleged that her husband was in an extramarital relationship with another woman. Another woman from Kukkunuru mandal said that her son was addicted to vices and he is beating her for money frequently resulting in injuries to her. She requested the SP to bring a change of behaviour to her son. A woman from Perugugudem village of Denduluru mandal alleged that her husband was harassing her at the direction of his parents. A woman of Vemavarapupadu village of Kaikaluru mandal alleged that a person was carrying out paddy business in the name of her family members and took the signatures of her family members on blank papers and hatched a conspiracy to loot her property.
Meanwhile, a person from Pedapadu mandal alleged that he and his friend were into a business and he invested Rs 2 lakh but his friend did not pay him any profit from the business.
SP Mary Prashanthi instructed the station house officers concerned to conduct an inquiry into the grievances and sort them out in a war-footing manner. She cautioned people not to believe in messages they get on their mobile phones regarding KYC, linking PAN with their voter ID and other links which are mostly from fraudsters to loot money from common people.
