Medical intake from Kerala list

CEE publishes MBBS, BDS admission guidelines.

Thiruvananthapuram: Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has published guidelines for MBBS and BDS admissions. The CEE will prepare a Kerala state merit (KSM) list by including the candidates who have qualified in National Entrance and Eligibility Test (NEET) (UG)-2017 and have submitted their applications to the CEE under KEAM 2017. Those who satisfy the nativity conditions as specified in Clause 6.1 of the Prospectus for KEAM 2017 alone will be included on the KSM list for MBBS and BDS admissions.

The admission to the entire MBBS and BDS seats including those under minority quotas and NRI quota in the self-financing colleges will be done through a centralised counselling by the CEE from the KSM list. All the candidates included on the above list will be considered for allotment and admission to the government seats for MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates seeking the NRI quota seats will have to submit the following documents to the CEE as and when required for verification.

(1) Relationship certificate of the sponsor and the candidate to be issued by the revenue authorities as per GO(MS) No. 243/2014/H&FWD of April 6.
(2) Overseas employment certificate from the employer, attested by the embassy, and if self-employed, by the embassy.
(3) Passport with visa stamped on it and certified by the embassy.
(4) A self-affidavit of the relationship between sponsor and the candidate (sponsorship certificate).
(5) The sponsor should be an Indian citizen/overseas citizen of India/Person of Indian origin and relevant document to prove the same.

The availability of minority quota seats, the details of the minority community and the documents to be produced before the CEE for availing these quota seats in SF colleges will be published later. Candidates without proper proof for the claim of the minority, NRI quota will neither be included in the respective category lists nor be considered for allotment/admission. More details can be had from helpline numbers: 0471 -2339101, 2339102, 2339103 and 2339104. The NEET results are likely to be published on June 26. As per the tentative list of the MBBS and BDS admissions, the first allotment will be on July 10.

Register engg., pharmacy, arch. options from today

Activities related to the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) to Professional Degree Courses for 2017-18 will commence from Friday. In this phase, online options are invited to Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy courses only. The Medical and Allied courses will be included in the Centralised Allotment Process in due course. Candidates included in the rank lists for Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy courses can register their options on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from Friday to 5 p.m. on June 28.

The trial allotment will be published on June 27 and the first allotment on June 30. Candidates who get the allotment should remit the fee shown in the allotment memo at selected branches of State Bank of India (SBI) or by way of online payment from July 1 to 3 p.m. on July 5. Candidates need not join the colleges after the first allotment. The Provisional Category-wise list of Candidates who have applied for admission to Engineering, Architecture, Medical, allied courses and Pharmacy courses in Government Pharmacy colleges and who are allowed with eligible Communal Reservation, Special Reservation, Reservation under Persons with Disability is published in the website www.cee-kerala.org. The details of Annual family income as furnished by the candidates along with the application for KEAM 2017 also is included in the above list.

The candidates may also login through the link ‘KEAM 2017: Candidate Portal’ available in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in by giving the Application number and Password to see the profile page wherein the above details are available. Candidates may verify the provisional category-wise list showing the allotted category and the details of annual family income and complaints, if any, with necessary supporting documents may be preferred to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, 5th floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram before 5 pm on June 26.
