Heavy rainfall predicted in Telangana for next 48 hours by IMD

Hyderabad: Serilingampally recorded 107.5 mm of rainfall,  Quthbullapur 106.3 mm and Kukatpally 104.5 mm on Friday, bringing further misery on the residents who are just recovering from days of rain last week.

In the state, Mahbubabad received 208 mm rainfall, followed by Jangaon at 204 and Bhadradri Kothagudem at 171.3 mm.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning with heavy rains across the state for next 48 hours with light to moderate rains or thundershowers likely to occur at most places.

Orange warning has been issued for districts of Vikarabad, Mulugu, Peddapalli, Karimnagar Jayashankar Bupalapalli, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, with heavy to very heavy rainfalls expected in isolated places in these districts.

Yellow warnings with heavy rain are predicted at isolated places of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Janagaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri districts in the state.

The city will experience a generally cloudy sky, and light to moderate rain with intense spells are very likely to occur in the next 48 hours.

The maximum temperature predicted was 31ºC Celsius and minimum of 23.9º Celsius in the city.
