BRS leader dies in road mishap in Medak

HYDERABAD: BRS Narsingi mandal president Ketawath Torya Naik, 45, died on the spot after the speeding car in which he was travelling rammed into a divider and hit a truck at Valluru village near Chegunta in Medak district on Saturday.
A resident of Narsingi in Medak district, Naik was former chairman of Narsingi Society.

According to police, Naik was driving his car and was on his way to Chegunta. When the car reached Valluru village, one of the tyres got punctured and Naik was unable to control the vehicle it rammed the divider and hit a truck coming from the opposite direction.

“Naik died on the spot and was stuck under the wreckage. Passersby noticed the mishap and informed the police. 108 medical emergency staff and the police visited the spot and had a tough time removing the body from the wreckage,” police said.
