Child panel deplores poor amenities at Bala Sadan in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh State Balala Hakkula Parirakshana Commission chairman K. Appa Rao expressed displeasure over the poor maintenance of Bala Sadan during his visit along with other members here on Saturday.

He said that the Sadan which was accommodating the girls, lacked an adequate number of staff members and no proper maintenance of records and cleanliness in the rooms.

The members alleged that lack of proper care resulted in the girls developing health issues and felt the need to address them. They said that the issue was taken to the notice of collector Dilli Rao to initiate action against the staff for
dereliction of duty.
