Water enters homes in Adilabad, locals fault officials
ADILABAD: Incessant rains threw normal life out of gear in erstwhile Adilabad district as flood waters inundated several low-lying areas and water entered houses in Adilabad town, on Saturday.
Flood water entered houses in GS Estate Colony on the outskirts of the town and damaged furniture and other essentials.
The house owners alleged that flood water entered their houses from a nearby tank after it overflowed, and expressed displeasure at officials for failing to take steps to prevent inundation despite repeated appeals. House owners said that their vehicles were also damaged. Flood waters had entered homes last year as well.
Streams and rivulets are overflowing as rains continue to lash many districts in the state.
