Hyderabad: Woman techie commits suicide

She committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house in Chandanagar on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: Depressed reportedly over not having kids, a 32-year-old woman software engineer in Hyderabad, committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at her house in Chandanagar on Wednesday.

Shwetha Varanasi Bhagwat (32) of Malkajgiri got married to Praveen Kumar of Nandyal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh in 2011. On Wednesday morning, Praveen returned from work and went inside the house using the spare key.

When he peeped into the bedroom, he found Shwetha hanging from the ceiling using a cloth, Chandanagar sub-inspector K. Nagaiah said. Based on her husband’s complaint, a case of suspicious death has been registered and the investigation is underway up, he added.
