Hyderabad: A youngster from the city is being questioned by the Hyderabad city police for reportedly booking parcels of bottles packed with industrial waste to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Director General of Police M. Mahendar Reddy, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, bureaucrats and politicians.
According to sources, the suspect, a resident of Secunderabad, was picked up for questioning on suspicion that he booked the parcels at the Secunderabad Head Post Office to be delivered to the VIPs.
“It was found that the suspect wanted to take revenge against his female classmate and had some issues with the professors of Osmania University. He had therefore written their names on the parcels in an attempt to get them into trouble with the police. The suspect is being questioned and the motive is yet to be confirmed,” the sources said.
Three days ago, a complaint was lodged at Mahankali police station by the staff of the Secunderabad HPO that an unidentified person had booked 62 parcels to deliver to the VIPs. The parcels contained bottles filled with industrial waste and had created tense moments for the postal staff and the police. They were booked on Saturday and were discovered when they began stinking after the weekend holiday.
