Hyderabad: Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC commissioner D. Ronald Rose has urged city residents to rectify errors in the voters' list. As part of draft voters' list that published on Monday in 15 constituencies of Hyderabad district, he advised voters to check their votes on www.ceotelangana.nic.in or https://www.nvsp.in.

He also urged those who have attained 18 years of age and above to register their names in the voters’ list if they have not done so till now. “They can register their names online by filling Form 6,” he explained.

After duly filling out the form, they must submit the application for registration as a voter along with required documentary proofs. He said that those who would be attaining 18 years of age on October 1, 2023, also could register their names in advance. Interested people could call the voter helpline number 1950 for further details.

The Commissioner also explained that voters could take up corrections pertaining to names, mismatches of photographs, photographs, spelling mistakes and other details. If the voter’s name is mentioned in some other constituency then they can seek correction by filling up Form 8. There is a facility to link the Aadhaar number with the voter list through Form 6B. If the name of the voter is missing from the list though he/she has EPIC, they can immediately apply through Form 6.

For changes and additions in the voters’ list, citizens can download the helpline app on their mobile phone or visit the ECI website https://voters.eci.gov.in to list out existing mistakes.
