Vigilance may give clean chit to D Cinemaas
QV report on land encroachment with DGP
THRISSUR: Based on the reports prepared by revenue and survey officials here, the office of the DySP of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau in Thrissur has prepared a quick verification report in favour of actor Dileep to be submitted before Thrissur Vigilance Court in the complaint regarding land encroachment for D Cinemaas theatre in Chalakkudy owned by the actor. The court had earlier asked the Vigilance to submit a QV on the basis of a complaint filed by activist P.D. Joseph.
Speaking to DC, DySP, igilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, K.P. Jose said that the report has been sent to DGP Loknath Behera, who has the additional charge of Vigilance Director and after getting approval, it would be submitted to the court. The court is scheduled to hold the next hearing on the complaint of Mr Joseph on Wednesday.
“I won’t be able to divulge the content of the report. We have prepared a report on the basis of the information we collected from survey and revenue officials in Thrissur. Only after getting the nod from the director, it will be submitted in the court and it is up to the court to take either accept or reject the report,” the DySP said. It has to be noted that both the survey and revenue department in Thrissur has not yet prepared any report against the actor over the allegations of land encroachments.
“There are no proper documents with actor Dileep to prove that all the 95 acres of land for the theatre is with him. The Cochin Devaswom Board has also laid claim for their temple land allegedly encroached by the actor. There are no previous documents (keezhadaram) with the actor for the land he at present possesses for D Cinemmas. A hearing in the issue is presently going on in Thrissur Collecotrate,” Joseph said.
